Headline : Apples Highest Technical Certification
Just finished training and passed the Apple ACSA (Apple Certified System Administrator 10.6) - Only 13 of us in the UK! This is Apples highest technical certification comprised of Server Essentials, Deployment, Directory Services (and AD integration), Mobility and Security.
I realise this is perhaps a rather gloating self news post, but in the interest of helping and passing on skills to the schools we look after and support please contact us if there is anyway that we can help you in your Apple software and hardware installations, and further in any curriculum requirements you want help with etc.
Also in the interests of income generation from further afield for the centre there is the possibility of paid services, consultancy, room hire and loan of equipment.
To verify the qualifications of engineers that visit you book mark this link. www.apple.com/certification/verify

Headline : ICT Diploma Students complete Digital Creator Level 1
File:digital_creator.png
The four Level 1 students who participated in Digital Creator, a course run by the CLC, have all successfully completed the course. Digital Creator comprises
of 6 units of work, 4 creative units involving Audio, Digital Images, Video and Animation and 2
sharing units namely Sharing to Optical Media and Sharing to Internet.
The students produced
websites, which are hosted by the CLC, to showcase their work. Please take a look at their
work by going to http:/www.newhamclc.org.uk/websites and
then choosing to view any of the last four websites listed, namely Kaseem, Hassan, Rakib or
Ibrahim.
The students worked very hard during their time at the CLC, even giving up 2
days of their Easter Holidays to ensure that their work was completed. This is the first group of
students to complete this course at the CLC as this was a pilot group. We are running the
course with a group of teachers who attend after school on Wednesdays and next year hope to extend
the course to other groups of students. Please contact the CLC for more
information.

Headline : CLC is Moving
Calling all innovation ideas and suppliers interested in helping or quoting our next big move. The CLC moves around the borough each year resourcing schools and leaving skills in place. As we move to the next school we support the next set of borough wide directives. Schools should contact us with project requirements for the next academic year, Innovation experts lend your ideas, and suppliers send in your quotes.
The move should see us set up in place for school start in September 2010. Please email cjackson@newhamclc.org.uk with the subject CLCMOVE2010: <and then anything you like for relevance> so that I can track all conversations on this subject.

Headline : Congratulation, but it's sad to say goodbye!
For those of you who since October 2008 who have visited or
phoned the CLC will have no doubt have met Daisy. She has been a stalwart at the CLC sorting
out the laptops, loaning equipment sorting and plugs, leads, finance and a whole lot
more.
Daisy studied Fashion Design at University and recently due to the Recession the
industry has been shy of hiring new talent - well no more! Daisy will be leaving the CLC on
Friday 12th March to take up a new position in the industry that she loves - our loss is their gain.
Good luck Daisy from all at the CLC.
